AVIVA LASKOV currently teaches Hebrew at UCT.  She teaches the Melton course on Israeli Literature as a Window to Israeli Society.  Educated at Tel Aviv University, Aviva specialised in Linguistics and teaching second and foreign languages. Aviva taught Hebrew at Herzlia in Cape Town and was involved in Teacher-Training. More recently her interests have focused on Contemporary Israeli Literature and Minority Literature as well as other creative expressions of Israeli life
