Jewish Answers to Life’s Most Challenging Questions

A new four-part course of study titled Jewish Answers to Life’s Most Challenging Questions offers thought-provoking approaches to the eternal mystery of the Divine’s involvement in our lives based on teachings preserved in Jewish tradition as well as lessons learned from lived experiences. The course explores answers to these timeless questions through the eyes of the rabbinic sages as well as those of modern thinkers and presents multiple Jewish approaches in the quest for understanding.

Table of Contents

Lesson 1 – Why do good people suffer?

Lesson 2 – Why is there so much evil in the world?

Lesson 3 – Is everything that happens pre-ordained?

Lesson 4 – Don’t I deserve a miracle?

For many of its texts, the course draws upon the book Where’s My Miracle: Jewish Traditions for Dealing with Tragedy, written by Rabbi Dr. Morey Schwartz, International Director of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.
