Subtitled, “Shards of Life”, these 2 online sessions explore 2 collections of short stories by Savyon Liebrecht and Haim Sabato.

The theme that runs through this series focusses on hopes and challenges faced by Israelis which ultimately shape their society:

Worlds left behind, New lives built and navigating through the complex labyrinth that is Israel today.

Although not available on kindle, Gitlin library in Cape Town has ONE copy of each book and we will ensure they will be on short loan.

You can also try purchase the books in hard cover from your local book store.

We will, however, send you excerpts from both books that we would like you to read and that will suffice for this course.
