Rabbi Morey Schwartz
Director of Education
As Director of Education, Morey provides educational leadership for the Melton School, maintaining the Melton School’s world-class standing in the field of adult learning while supervising the continued growth and development of its world-renowned curriculum. Morey supervises the content and the delivery of the Melton School curriculum, and works closely with the CEO of the Corporation in Chicago in establishing short- and long-term goals for meeting the educational needs of our schools and branching out into new educational venues. Much of Morey’s work focuses on ensuring the highest standards of adult education excellence. To this end, Morey develops and implements in-service training and professional enrichment materials for use with Melton School faculty worldwide. Morey is a former faculty member of the Overland Park, Kansas, Melton School (1995-2000). He is a graduate of Yeshiva University, with a Master’s from the Bernard Revel Graduate School, and ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. Morey has lived in Israel with his family since 2000. He’s the author of Where’s My Miracle?: Exploring Jewish Traditions for Dealing with Tragedy (Gefen Publishing, 2010).
