On his retirement in 2019 he joined the the faculty of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) in Cape Town, teaching  “The Holocaust as Reflected in Diaries and Memoirs” He is a trustee of the Cape Town Holocaust and Genocide Centre.

He has delivered papers and conducted seminars on Holocaust Education in South Africa in South Africa, Germany, Israel; UK and Namibia, France and Australia, Washington and Istanbul. He is a fellow of the United States Holocaust Museum and the Salzburg Global Seminars and a guide on the International adult “March of the Living” in Poland.
