RONNIE GOTKIN graduated from Herzlia school and holds a BA Hons, B Ed and M Ed degrees from UCT and an HDE from UNISA, all of which were awarded with distinction. He is also a graduate of the Senior Educators Programme at the Melton Institute, Hebrew University. Formerly principal of Herzlia Highlands Primary, Ronnie currently teaches Hebrew at Herzlia High School, where he is also Director of Hebrew Studies for the United Herzlia schools. Ronnie is a regular presenter at the annual Limmud conference, and he has been teaching Melton Jewish history courses (“Dramas”, now “Crossroads”) , as well as “Beyond the Borders — a History of the Arab-Israeli Conflict” and “The Holocaust through Diaries and Memoirs” since Melton’s inception in Cape Town. Herzlia and Melton have enabled Ronnie to explore and expand his passionate interest in teaching and learning anything to do with Hebrew, Jewish history, the Jewish people, and Israel.
